The Kindermusik Village class provides a delightful environment unlike any other. Through a unique blend of multi-level activities that include creative movement, vocal play, object and instrument exploration, and a colorful literature component, baby’s growth and development are stimulated and all senses engaged.

Kindermusik Village is for lap babies, crawlers, and walkers. It incorporates the most current research on early childhood development and provides families a special place for learning and connecting with other parents and babies through music and movement.

This 45minute class is a fun and musical way to bond with your baby, introduce simple concepts and instruments, and connect with other parents.  Using a farm theme we will explore music, motion, language and much more.  Baby will enjoy the movement of a “hayride,” vocal play and discovery using farm animal sounds (cock-a-doodle-OINK). Home materials include: Baby board book, CD, instrument, and wall banners. The $35 home material fee is not included in tuition and is non-refundable. Material fee is to be paid to the teacher at the first class.  Caregiver attends class.

Our Time encourages your child to uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control and communication skills. Instrument exploration will pique your child’s curiosity while exploring textures and sounds. Language skills are fostered through singing, imitation and rhyming. Creative movement is included, helping your child develop a sense of balance, timing, and special awareness. Listening and turn-taking activities allow social skills to begin to blossom.

Toddlers love to GO. Going is their gift, their license to venture out into the world and their means of retreating to the security of Dad or Mom. With toddlers' desire to go comes an attraction to other things that go - people, animals, pull toys, tricycles, cars, planes, and the list goes on. Away We Go! focuses on things that go, leading you in an exploration into the world of transportation. "What are things that go?" "How do they go?" "How do they sound when they go?" "Can I go like that?" "Can I make sounds like that?" Guided by these simple questions we'll journey through developmentally appropriate activities relating to trains, cars, buses, horses, wagons, airplanes and boats.

NEW! Where else but a Jazz Kitchen can you cook up learning like this? Using the multi-talented animals in the story, “Noodles from Scratch,” your children will discover musical terms and concepts such as quarter notes and eighth notes. Then they can put those concepts and steady beats into play with a combination of home-made instruments you can whip up in the kitchen. With featured instruments such as jazzy vibes, bass, flutes, and the sax setting the backdrop, you’ll be a bunch of cool cats talking about scat singing, and the difference between the white and black keys on a piano.

Home Kit includes a magazine-style Family Guide with the story, Home CD and 2 egg shaker instruments. The $25 material fee is non-refundable & not included in tuition. Material fee paid to Jeanneane Palczewski on the first day of class.

Imagine That! Captures a child’s attention, nurtures budding creativity and individuality, and enhances the overall learning process – all through a remarkable blend of music, singing, movement, literature, instrument exploration and pretend play. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature. Using the power of imagination, your child will become an active participant in the learning process. With music as the thread, each lesson provides an opportunity for your child to reflect, compare, make choices, express opinions and preferences and engage in problem-solving activities.

What’s more exciting to a child than a new toy? How about an entire Toy Shop full of toys! And a full Toy Shop is exactly what Kindermusik Imagine That! families will enjoy in this second unit Toys I Make, Trips I Take. This unit firmly integrates the learning process by placing a strong musical emphasis on singing, steady beat and ensemble as well as rhythm & rhythmic patterns.

You will find a toy shop filled with boats, trains, balls, jack-in-the-box & many other toys to bring a glimmer to your child’s eye. While some events may start in the toy shop, they may end up on a tropical island. We never know where our imagination will take us!

Young Child students explore many facets of music – speaking, singing, moving, listening, creating, playing instruments, and learning about reading and writing music. Creative movement or dances are interspersed with quiet activities like drawing or focused listening. Instrument playing skills are developed with the introduction of the glockenspiel a pre-keyboard instrument, (semester 1), and dulcimer (semester 3). Through creative learning activities, your child will begin to read music and to create musical compositions: accomplishments that will instill confidence in his own musical abilities. The capstone of Kindermusik, Young Child is the perfect pressure-free preparation for private instrumental instruction.

Semester 2
Building on the concepts introduced in Semester 1, Semester 2 will focus on concepts like piano/forte, crescendo/decrescendo, and legato/staccato.  We will explore notation, and even a bit of Beethoven.  Children love applying their new knowledge of aural skills, and reading and writing music notation as they further develop their glockenspiel skills.

Semester 4
In this fourth and final semester of this exceptional program we will explore the sounds of wind with the introduction of the recorder!  We will also review notation, rhythms, treble clef, complete C scale and introduce accidentals. This truly is a great end to a terrific curriculum.
